Lai Mohammed |
The National Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Lai Mohammed, on Friday assured Nigerians that APC administration would revamp the nation’s economy and fulfill its campaign promises.
He stated this in an interview with NAN at the sidelines of inauguration of Muhammadu Buhari as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in Abuja.
He, however, urged Nigerians to be patient as the expected change would not happen overnight.
He said Buhari was aware of the daunting challenges ahead but would remain undaunted in the face of such challenges. “We thank God for today and we want to assure Nigerians that the APC government will not disappoint them.
“Buhari is a man of immense integrity and is aware of the challenges ahead, and I assure you that he will deliver good leadership,” he said.
Also, Senator Olorunibe Mamora, a chieftain of the APC, said that the new administration would tackle corruption, adding that the expected change would be achieved soon.
“It might be a difficult task for the income government to achieve the ‘change’ as a result of serious challenges on ground but the president has capacity to deliver.
“The APC administration will strive and take Nigeria to a greater height by rebuilding our institutions and tackling corruption,” he said.
Senator-elect, Dino Melaye told NAN that the integrity and anti-corruption stand of Buhari would were assets that would help in building a better Nigeria.
“The president is renowned for his integrity and ant-corruption stand. All these will come to play as he strives towards rebuilding Nigeria but our people should be patient and realistic in their expectations,” he said.
