A number of Nollywood’s finest actors came together in the movie, St. Mary to campaign against human trafficking. St. Mary shows how girls are recruited and transported abroad to become sex slaves. The movie highlights in details the horrendous experiences these girls go through all in a bid to get greener pastures outside Nigeria.

St. Mary, a 110 minutes movie, which centres on the negative implication of sex and human trafficking, is a project produced by Obi Osotule, Keppy Bassey Inyang and Darlington Agha.

Speaking about the movie, Bassey Inyang said, “It’s always a delight to be able to contribute to a cause and such is the issue of human trafficking. The St. Mary is an advocacy flick and I’m glad to be associated with it and I can tell you that with projects like this, we can sensitise more people than you can imagine.”

On his part, Darlington Agha said, “Human trafficking is a worldwide phenomenon; so it is not out of place to embark on a world tour with the movie so that people can learn from the narrative. So we will take it round and then hold a grand premiere in Nigeria where the movie was shot.”

The movie has been premiered in America and is billed to premiere in Nigeria later in the month.
